The streets were scrubbed with 50 pounds of boiled beets. The beet juice and flesh made a complete circle around the intersection. 220 flowers were dipped in the beet juice left on the streets and given away to audience and passers-by. Each flower bore a tag that said "This flower is a gift of love and compassion for you."
